Pregnancy + Birth Coaching

This is your birth journey, and you deserve to feel empowered every step of the way.

With my unique blend of expertise as a hospital labor and delivery nurse, birth doula, lactation counselor, and yoga instructor I’ll help you navigate the vast amount of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum information out there.

I use my holistic perspective on birth and the postpartum period to help you discover what birthing choices are best for you.

What is a pregnancy + birth coach?

The path of pregnancy, birth, and motherhood can often seem daunting. There is so much information out there from friends and family to the rabbit hole of social media. Virtual birth coaching is a way for you to get a more personalized understanding of how you want to be cared for in pregnancy and prepare for birth and the postpartum period.

I utilize my expertise to encourage you to make informed decisions on your birth journey. This can look like helping you create your birth plan, unpacking the pros and cons of various pain management options, or choosing which care provider you’d like to work with and in which setting you’d like to give birth (home, birth center, hospital).

This is an opportunity for you to have a doula in your back pocket. While I am not present for your birth, I am here as a guide during pregnancy and postpartum as you gain the confidence to make conscious choices that are right for you.

  • $180 / 90 min session

$575 / 4 session package (can be used prenatally + postpartum)

Why work with me?

My coaching approach draws on my experience as a hospital labor and delivery nurse, birth doula, lactation counselor, and yoga instructor. I appreciate the value of Western medicine and also believe in the power of natural approaches. I offer a balanced, “middle-way” perspective.

After my own planned homebirth resulted in a transfer to a hospital, I understood even more deeply how essential it is for women to feel empowered and informed in their birthing decisions. I believe that inquiry and inner wisdom are potent tools available for each pregnant and birthing woman.

From a holistic vantage point, I will equip you with evidence-based information and help you explore your own intuition. Ultimately only you know what is best for you on your path to motherhood.

Coaching Process

  • Begin your journey with a complimentary 15-minute consultation call. This is your chance to share your goals, challenges, and aspirations with me, so I can tailor our work together to your specific needs.

  • This session is your chance to envision the birth experience that feels right for you. We’ll explore your options for where to give birth—hospital, birth center, or home—and discuss the type of care team that best aligns with your values, such as an OB or midwife. Together, we’ll navigate the pros and cons of each choice to ensure you feel informed and confident in your decisions. We’ll also address ways to manage first trimester physical and hormonal shifts to keep you grounded and connected at the start of your pregnancy journey.

  • Think of this as a more personalized version of a childbirth education class. Together, we’ll clarify and craft your birth intentions and delve deeper into topics like pain management in labor and how to navigate unexpected changes in pregnancy and birth with flexibility and resilience. This session also includes an opportunity to discuss yoga and pelvic floor exercises to strengthen and support your changing body.

  • The third trimester is a time to slow down, reflect, and prepare for the transition to motherhood. In this session, we’ll discuss how to build your nest—a supportive space for recovery and bonding with your baby. We’ll dedicate time to breastfeeding, with practical tips and resources to help you feel prepared. And you’ll also learn body movements designed to encourage your baby into an optimal position for birth. We will also address any unique circumstances that are arising for you in pregnancy and in preparation for birth.

  • This session offers a safe space to unpack your birth. Based on how your birth unfolded we will discuss how to best support your physical recovery and emotional well being. We’ll also troubleshoot breastfeeding challenges or questions, ensuring you feel cared for and confident as a new mother.
